Privacy policy
This site belongs to Scrumptious Holiday Caravans of Ingoldmells, Skegness (the business, “we”). It exists so you can look at our caravans and get in touch. We collect as little about you as possible, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.
When you send an enquiry
The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, the caravan you fancy, rough dates and your message. When you press send:
- your enquiry is delivered to our inbox (scrumptiouscaravans@gmail.com) so we can reply to you;
- a copy is stored securely by Orchestrix (the Nottingham studio that builds and hosts this site for us) so an enquiry is never lost if an email goes astray.
We use your details only to answer your enquiry and arrange your stay. Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Booking records we are required to keep for accounting live outside this website.
The availability calendars
The calendars on the Availability & Prices page are provided by Bookalet, the booking diary service we use. Those widgets are loaded from Bookalet’s servers and are covered by Bookalet’s own privacy policy. We plan to replace them with our own built-in diary, at which point this section disappears.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no marketing or advertising cookies, ever. With your permission (the banner you saw when you arrived), we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors get on with the site: which pages people read, and where the site could be clearer. Clarity only loads after you accept, advertising storage is switched off, and you can change your mind any time via in the footer. If you decline, the site works exactly the same.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, the server that hosts this site keeps short-lived technical logs (your IP address and the pages requested) for security and reliability. These are not used to identify or profile you.
Where the site lives
The site and its content database are hosted by Orchestrix on servers in the EU. The content database holds the words, photos and prices you see on the site, not visitor data.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it, by emailing scrumptiouscaravans@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we’ve got something wrong.
